About Vicky

Vicky Teinaki was a designer who worked as a UX Lead at Student Loans Company. She previously worked at the Government Digital Service (GDS), the Department of Work and Pensions, and HM Revenue and Customs. From September 2015 she worked in central government roles, first as a user researcher and then as an interaction designer. From January 2017 she also assessed services against the Digital Service Standard.

She had years of writing experience, contributing to Johnny Holland magazine from 2008 and serving as chief editor from 2010 to 2012. She also blogged officially for UX Scotland.

Her doctoral research at Northumbria University (2010–2015) examined how designers could better communicate their work processes. She also had development experience with Drupal and WordPress.
